But these are valid reasons to treat the two as unrelated:

..., teams qualifying through this is SUCH a contentious issue, I suggest we fully avoid it in future. Especially as so many teams will split/reform after the league has completed and before any UK/Euro champs takes place. Surely we learnt that this year. To make that point clear, 2 teams placed above the team that was in the euros due to winning the league. Further to that, those 2 teams didn't exist during the league.
