Track geometry how can it be improved!?

finally that question came up again. is there a way you can tell the BB drop on a naked frame? be it a drawing, photo or having it in your hands.

I think Tynan or some other oldie wrote a long time ago that there is a formula/method, but I never really understood anything more about it.

Measure it?
