I bought this frame off Ebay a couple of weeks ago, from Tour De Ville for £330. I have had a Tange Falcon (off old Bob Jackson frame) headset and Shimano (New, BLB) bottom bracket fitted to it, both by Brick lane Bikes.
To cut a boring story short I can’t afford to keep this frame – so am hoping to sell it for the price I paid.
I have ridden it a couple of times, to Critical mass if anyone saw it there??
Nothing has really changed from the original sale apart from the addition of the headset and bottom bracket so this link to the original ebay auction has some good accurate pictures, and I have copied the description from ebay as well.
"Very nice vintage Plum vainquer track frame from Ghent, Belgium. Frame is in excellent condition and has only minor chips / usage marks. Plum is a very famous bike shop next to the 'kuipke' velodrome in Ghent, Belgium. They have been going for 75 years and have produced some lovely frames. Beautiful lugwork and a very nice chromed Cinelli fork crown with the P for plum.
Specification and measurements:
Top tube: 58 cm - cc
Seat tube: 60 cm - cc
Tubing: Columbus
Drop outs: Campagnolo
Threading: Italian
Spacing: 100 / 120”
These pictures attached to the post are from today to show the frame as it looks half built up.
If anyone wants any more (less blurry) pictures, has any questions or wants to see the frame in person then feel free to PM me and I’ll sort it out.
