Because Sherwen doesn't know what else to talk about. Count the amount of times today that Phil will do a piece of commentary, then all Sherwen can do is repeat it the last time of it. He is like a puppet.
Saying that, with the way Sherwen sits behind Liggett in the letters piece on the highlights show, it looks like Phil is the ventriloquists dummy on Sherwens knee. Scary shit.
PS I only watch ITV now because Duffers has been dropped from the live commentary. Legend.
