This makes me think of the fact that you (and I) are the end result of tens of thousands of generations of success, everyone of our ancestors were successful reproducers with not a single exception, we are the pinnacle of reproduction as a system - there is not one of your direct ancestors, if you were to scan back through 10,000 generations or more, who have failed to reproduce and raise children.
