Shimano Sora 8 speed sti's have a shim to bring the levers closer to the bar for small hands. They hold their value well as parents with competitive young (U10) kids invariably put them on the bikes (particularly given that with gear limiting under BC rules there is no point in having more than 8 gears).
We put these on my sons bike (from down tube shifters) and they work a treat.
