That Gitane looks quite old so would most likely be all french threading which would be a nightmare if you start replacing BB (cottered cranks), headset (which looks like it's missing the spacers and locknut) and possibly pedals. Most likely an odd seatpost size as well, 26.6? I think, or maybe an old steel seatpost.
