Frame saver is a hydrophobic coating not unlike that which WD40 produces. The difference is that Framesaver reacts with air to form a permenant coating which sticks to the steel. Personally I could'nt get hold hold of any Framesaver (no one will post it, fecking nasty chemically stuff speaking) so I used WD40. Spray it in every opening, slosh around, and leave to dry, before building up the bike.
