I've got (had) Mavic rims on my bike, however, the rear one kept going out of true/snapping spokes. Wheelbuilder at LBS said as 18 - 20 years old and me being large (6'3") this would happen and best to get new rim for rear wheel. Lot of money later and I'm hopefully not going to have truouble, buckle free cycling.
Any light people out there up for a Mavic MA40 rim built by Mercian 18 - 20 years ago?
