Oliver I have a couple of cast iron pans- one a char-grill pan, the other a conventional frying pan.
They have coped with my every attempt to melt them so far, and I am sure that they can protect your veggie food from the meatie grill.
I've just returned from Sainsbury with meat for burgers, some Venison and Beef sausages, and of course the charcoal to cook everything with.
