I have a pair of Mavic wheels from an old racing bike. I was going to order new wheels for my build but them wondered if I might save the best part of £160 by converting these old ones. Presume this would mean buying new hubs and being careful about getting the right size spokes (I presume whoever builds the wheels can advise on this - I may even join the wheel building class and do my own) but I was wondering if this is going to prove to be a false economy and I'd be better just selling the old wheels and buying new.

Any thoughts and other things to consider here?
