I've taken a bike on the coach up to Glasgow.
It was fine but fuck me, I never want to carry a bike bag from brixton to victoria, then all the way up sauchiehaul street ever again. Worst idea ever.
I bought one of those cars with wheels on at john lewis in glasgow, before that it was sheer hell and took 2 people to carry (I had a bike and clothes etc in this one bag).
With the wheels it was fine for about 500 metres, then the fucking thing kept toppling over because it was so top-heavy.
My advice, it's possible, but make sure you have a decent bike bag or transport becomes very very unhappy!
