Why Are Aussies So Hated?

Incorrect use of slang Balki- Wop is a derogatory term for an Italian person, Wog stands for Western Oriental Gentleman, and so is reserved for persons from the Western Oriental area.

I've always thought wop stood for without papers... Originally coined at the turn of the century for immigrants arriving at Ellis Island without documentation... Or is that just another backronym?
