Yes , thank Kier. I had a great time , even though I left after Matching Green
Oliver, where did we get lost?
We didn't get massively lost while you were still with us--Dan saved me from some stupid mistakes! I've just been having a look at the Google map again and realised that we missed a right just after Matching Green, where we did take the correct turn into Potash Road but should have taken that right turn almost immediately. That took us way off course, up to the A1060, and it must have been while we were on that longish diversion that the supposedly slow group overtook us by sticking to the route. We then had various other stops, especially the long one in Pleshey, where we caught up with someone who'd been on the Tweed Run and with whom I did a ride in November last year.
We then had two or three other places where I led us a couple of hundred yards off course, in two cases because I didn't follow the signpost even though at that moment I knew perfectly well that it was pointing in the right direction, and one because I'd made a mistake on my hand-written route sheet and put a right turn where it should have been a left turn.
