This depends on the type of Shamal wheel you have, If you have a 12-HPW then why not just rebuild the rim with the campag freewheel hub, or am I missing the point. I'm particularly interested as I have 2 pairs of NOS with 8 speed Campag freewheel hubs. I enquired whether it would be possible to convert one wheel to 9/10 speed, but was told this was not possible. I'm still not conviced though, unless the freewheel securung mechanism is totally different. I have a rare pair of black rimmed Shamals that take 9/10 speed but they are of the 16 spoke variety. If anyone has converted the 12-HPW's I'd love to know!
