Whenever i've been in goal and lucky enough to actually block a shot i usually fall over, i try to get out the way as quickly as possible. However if you are stuck because there are other players blocking your exit from the goalmouth due to them attacking and you get in their way again how do you call it? Surely as has been said earlier "tough shit & play on"
If you think you were hard done by a "blocked shot" get on with it and make sure it goes in next time ;)
Did most of us not enjoy playing polo at first because there were so few rules and it was thus quite easy to pick up a mallet and get stuck in, I know I did. You want rules play football or hockey etc. I'm not trying to be all punk rock and say "fuck rules" as I think there is room for common sense rules (not throwing mallets*) but once you start making too many rules you'll end up with governing bodies (look at the uci in racing) and it begins to stifle the game, dude!
Anyone ever used the phrase rules were made to be broken?
I do believe a well thrown mallet is far safer than some of you lot skidding about to stop a shot but then i was taught to hunt with spears as a child....
