a bike shop could just give a newsaper 200 pounds and get a full size advert in the evening news, advertising to thousands in one go. why would they give us money, when we aren't even doing it for charity or attempting media coverage!? sorry to be cynical, but already tried this path with our cambridge - paris ride, and that is for charity and everythink!
