I think most people, and I know I do, if they see something, send the pm straight away rather than dibs. Send PM, offer money, get goods.
I'm not trying to be harsh, but it seems your frustration is borne out of not getting the part that you really needed, when possibly many people wanted that self same part. Just have to suck it up and move on really.
Parts get offered and bought quickly on this forum I don't think its a straight line from losing out on something on offer here, to seeing a conspiracy of members to only sell to people that they know..
