as long you can find them outside ebay, they should only cost about 20 to 80 quid for a fully build bike, I got a wonderful bargain (sadly did a puppy killing) of an completely original Peugeot bike that look like it came out of the factory for 70 quid a while ago.
ask neighbour, family, friends, work mate, local newspaper, jumble sales, etc. chance are you might able to get one for free (especially if it came from a relative or friends).
