The Stars and Bars paint job was available on a few bikes, notably the high end (i.e. American hand built ones) from about 1996. You see pictures of Hots in them, and I've seen a guy cycling around Tottenham with the nicest, top of the line, Humuhumu Nukunuku Apua'a from about 1996.
I was half tempted to rob him...
