You need to stretch the tyre. Start at the opposite side of the wheel to the valve and pinch the tyre between your forefinger and thumb. Maintaining pressure, rotate the wheel or move your hand towards the valve until you reach the valve. Do the same for the other half of the wheel. Then pop the tyre over the rim. Easy.
