Subtle changes, bugs and feedback

Yup, it's gone. A few people were systematically nuking all messages. Which I think is out of step with how content everywhere else on the site works. Generally if you post something, then that's yours... and only you can edit and delete it. The profile page was weird because it reversed that on that one page.

I'm still happy to delete any sick shit or abusive stuff, just like I would in a thread or elsewhere. Just report it or drop me a PM.

I guess the problem I have is that people sometimes send information that should really be a private message (cue rush to visitor page - there's nothing on there that's a problem at the moment - yeah even ev_ calling me "sexy-man"..). then again some stuff just kind of goes past its interest date. But I don't necessarily want everyone who's having a sniff around members and their profile pages to see - for example - sales talk, or references to stuff. Personally I don't often use visitor messages but I've left it on as I understand its use - but I think it's up to the person to edit their page as they wish, even if it is clearing their visitor messages arbitrarily.
