When you were helping those people doing the 50k out.. did someone ride up and ask if you were ok?

There were a few riders stopped a little before Ivanhoe Beacon (i think) and I asked if they were ok, someone answered "yeah just helping these guys doing the 50k out". The dude was showing them where to go on the map. Long hair perhaps?

31k to the start
110k before I realised I'd gone well past the finish line
42k on the way home since I couldn't find the A4008 or something (my printed direction sheet was fucked from the water)

I'm doing Hell of the Ashdown next Sunday but will do the other RRs except the Luton one which is too far away.. although since this one turned into 180k I could probably do the Luton ride and all.

I was the only rider I saw without full leggings and without overshoes on. Knee warmers Ftw!

What time are you starting the Hell, Hippy?

Me n Andy just got last minute dropout places at 8:35. Pretty excited, although it's gonna be cooold.

Also, is anyone riding the Puncheur?

I've signed up and can offer post-ride hospitality in Brighton for anyone who makes it down. A bit expensive, but local.

I was gonna do the 110k as well but the forecast so far for Biggin Hill this weekend is -1 (chill factor -8) and light snow.
last sat, it was a lot warmer, the top of most hills was covered with ice (I unfortunately went down). If the conditions will be like that, Im not goinng to do it I reckon...
