nosferatu, you need to get your equipment sorted if you want to come along. We all rely on each other. Have you read the Southwark Cyclists' FAQ? See OP. Investing in good lights is a necessity and you will have to spend some money on those. I'm sure there are plenty of threads on here with light tips, and if not, try bikeradar.
