Could be. Although the trail of a 40mm rake straight fork will obviously be the same as the trail of a 40mm curved fork (which is what I was getting at)
An assumption is sometimes made that a straight fork has less rake.
Anyway, I too prefer the look of a straight fork on a modern frame.
