I wear a helmet sometimes, but the only one I got is a bulky skateboard one which makes me look like e.t
So I ditch it when inconvenient, especially now when its cold (wear a hat) or when I dont want to carry it around.
If I had a light comfortable helmet that fitted me, id wear it most of the time I think. In a bright colour (id get white) I think it would greatly aid in visibility too.
