As Im not planning on racing I am merely worrying about distance.
I only worry that I am excercising too much. I climb and canoe once a week, run every other day and cycle a 12 mile round trip to work 5 days a week.
make sure you eat plenty of protein, carbs, and iron. also you can drop the pace of your cycle commute and just roll around. it's good recovery. as your running mileage builds you may find you need to lay off the climbing or canoeing for a bit.

play it by ear though.
