You are damn right, my son's great grandfather was taken from his farm in Poland and sent to Auschwitz III Monowitz where he worked as slave labor in the IG Farben sythetic rubber factory He was lucky he was a catholic. The Jews in his village where dragged out and shot in the street.

I've never really spoken to my guardian about that period but the one time we did I found out that they were polish and his father was Jewish. His mother and himself got out safely but his father was killed. It was a short story and, heartbreakingly, one that you hear such a lot.
