Its funny that the term Paki is considered racist in the UK. Its kind of just shortening the word isn't it? Its like calling Australians "Aussie"? I remember Australian cricket commentators using the term when we were playing Pakistan, and the English have always been referred to as the Poms, which I gather some people find offensive as well. Really find it strange because it was never used in a derogatory fashion.

And yes, I think they are a bit of a waste of space. Sadly, I cant even say "she's not my queen". Stupid Aussies voted against a republic in a referendum in '99.
