Agreed haven't got the balls (or the stupidity?) to throw the lockring away
The rotafix method came from the track where some people will run without lockrings, since it allows the cog to spin off while you coast to a halt (hopefully). On the road, the preferable option is likely to be stopping before getting run down, hence running a lockring on the road is usually preferred. If you have a driveline fuckup, the lockring should stop everything and you skid to a halt. 'course you're running another brake on the road...
