i have 3rd party cover through LCC membership.
I don't own a car but if a brakeless cyclist ran in to me jumping a light i would expect them to pay for the damage or at least pay with a kick in the nuts or something similar.

You'd accept them kicking you in the nuts as payment? Takes all sorts, I guess...
