plug drive in, go to Disk Utility (search using spotlight if you don't know where it is in your App folder).
Click your drive on the left (click on the drive rather than the partition below) Then choose partition from the right.
Select 1 partition, give the volume a name, click on Fat32 on the format combi-box.
