Dura Ace full carbon roadies going cheap

back in my mountain biking days i used to think planet x was a shit brand. they used to make cheap versions of other company's products, notably Azonic's CNCed stem. Anyone care to set me straight?

from what i can see they buy their stuff from the same factories in taiwan as everybody else. some of the stuff just has their logo slapped on some is designed by them.

personally if i was spending 1k on a road bike i would rather have a posh ally front/carbon rear frame than a cheap carbon one. carbon doesn't always mean light either. i think people assume that just because it's carbon it means it's better, it's not always the case.
