Mine ended up costing about £200, I'm still running the stock front wheel, brake, tires, bar and saddle that it came with, although I do need some new bar tape. I really like this bike, it does everything I think a fixed beater bike should do. Being an old french touring frame they have a long wheel base, relaxed angles and a suprisingly high bottom bracket which in my book makes a good bike for bouncing around lonon streets on. My build is nothing flashy which suits me fine since it spends its nights chained up outside my house, while the nice bikes hide inside. I say single speed it up ride the crap out of it and don't worry about being a hipster.
