Always been a Vegimite fan but since living here have had Marmite on toasted sesame seed bagel (no butter/marge) most mornings. As for the posh marmite jars, the company I worked for in Chelsea made those sterling silver lids Jim Jams spoke of.
Also thought gentlemans relish was a joke.
Tip: Toast, Vegi/Mar-mite, pate, tomatoe, cracked black pepper.
