Basically the Brooklyn forks are unlike any other forks out there. I presume you have seen them on a bike? There is a massive gap between the tyre and the bridge of the fork.
The Dia Comp brakes are good but are designed to go on 'normal' forks.
Scott not Scot may be able to give a better explanation as I'm not really a technical person.
