Why do people seem to yearn for muti speed gears, bells & whistles on there "I like it because its simple" singlespeed / fixed wheels ?
this schlumpf bottom bracket gearing is like £300, a Rohloff around £800
I understand the interest in Sturmey's, something old simple, hard as nails and engrained in cycling heritage. AND CHEAP/FREE..
But spending £1100 on bespoke new fangled gearing which you wont be able to fix when it breaks, is hardly in the spirit of what "fixed gear & singlespeed" is about?
