Depends what cranks they are. Maybe yes, maybe no. 135 'suggests' road double, 144 'suggests' track specific, so 'possibly' you old road double cranks used a 102mm bb and your new track cranks will need a 111mm bb. But it is tough to say given the info

Converted to ss (16t cog), bought vintage Campy Super Record cranks with BCD of 144 and looking for pista or chorus 44t chainring.

44t/16t is just fine by me, that's my preference.
