To remove it you need to turn the outside bolt anti-clockwise until it pops out, then remove the bolt as per usual.
But the outer bolt wants to turn in the opposite direction to the inner crank bolt. So surely it should unscrew clockwise? Except that both sounds shift about a 1/4 turn before sticking. And then the actual crank bolt, now loosened, turn till it meets the outer bolt and then I'm back to where I'm started… :(
Will pick up some needle nose pliers from town when I'm at work today and give it a try though. Thanks all.
