I've got a great chrome pinarello columbus slx fork laying around doing nothing and am also becoming more and more nervous/feed-up with running a carbon fork on my current bike. Now, Im slightly on the tall side so the steerer is HUGE but also happens to be 1 inch a-head and the pinarello fork is too short and is threaded. Does any-one know a decent engineer or frame builer that could extend the steerer properly?
I sometimes send peoples frames off to Mario Vaz 'cos he's got a guy that does that kind of thing but, bless his soul, he's a bit of a butcher.
I'm thinking maybe mercian or bob jackson could do it but they tend to be expensive and take ages.
