Today I decided to fit my new single-speed chain, with the half link included.
I cut the chain to length, as you do, and put all together.
I noticed it was a bit tight, so i tried sliding the wheel in to the vertical dropouts to see what's what and magically the chain was perfectly tensioned.
It must be my lucky day
Anyway it means i don't have to use a tensioner, which is noisy at best.
With my 'Silent Clutch' freehub-body, and my nigh on silent drivetrain,
I can now say my bike is fit for ninjas. Proper.
On my test ride 2 people crossing the road failed to notice me passing right by, giving them a bit of a fright!
And that coupled with my new crosstop brake set up, on ym new drops, im chuffed to bits today.
Happy days indeed!
