I need to help someone out whose chainring bolt came (?) off and he bent his chainring out of shape. He wants to replace it but he (and I) need help choosing/finding a new chainring. He has got a converted singlespeed but couldn't tell me the make of the crank, only that his chainring has five bolts.
Is there one size for all single speed cranks? Or will we have to pay attention to the bolt circle diameter? I read up on Sheldon Brown but wasn't quite sure what I need.
