yeah, loosen the stem right off, you may be able to use it as a lever to put upwards pressure on the top cap, whilst you try to turn the bolt to see if it will grab.
I think if the threaded insert in the SFN has come adrift and is spinning, this method may work, or you may just have to beat it off
