I wouldnt say its a 'really' dangerous ride, but you certainly have to be careful - I'm wearing a lid even tho I dont usually in London, and will be very concious of inexperienced riders.
Basically of the 30,000 that take part - probably about 25,000 don't really ride a bike regularly.
Lots of shouts of 'On your right' are useful when overtaking, found it bloody annoying people randomly stopping in front of me though - especially when trying to climb hills..
Hence why I'm rather glad of the 6am start.
