BMX sizing is all about top tube length. If your not too tall then a 20" or 20.5" top tube will be fine. These are common 21" t.t are harder to find when I was looking for a new BMX I had trouble finding a cheap one but got a good deal on a 20.8" tt so not bad.
Usual bike crap really. Full cromo (4130) are the better bikes high tensile are the cheaper ones but will still take a beating. One piece cranks are on the cheaper bikes but I ran them for years before three piece where the norm.
Depending on what you want to do a racing BMX may be a good deal for you. These are lighter and longer. Also consider something like a the cruiser BMX bikes, these can be better for people who have never ridden a small bike.
A good source of cheap bikes.
