I did London to Brighton 48 x 18 (not sure what ratio this is?) a few weeks back, felt good on most of the route, got to Ditchling and had the choice of the busy A23 or the Beacon, opted for the Beacon, did quite well, got about 75% of the way up. My heavy bag didn't help and also a porn mag at the side of the road about halfway up put me off!
Need to go back sometime and clean it to the top.
