• Last night was an experiment with the drops for me. I'm glad I stuck with them, so that I could get a good idea of what's going on.

    Clearly they're great for consistency, but I'd guess they're adding between 0.5 and 1.0 seconds to my times - probably something to do with my lifelong hip injury, which is the reason I'm so much stronger out of the saddle (on the road) than in it.

    I should've been riding in a white lab coat and safety goggles last night for the full effect.

    Looking forward to 4-up racing on the rollers - badtmy, do you fancy being my madison partner? I don't know about you, but I was always faster in relays on the athletics track :)

    it was an experiment for me too: how many beers is too many? the answer is 3. my performance went backwards drastically between qualifying and the finals, i blame that third pint.

    madison sounds great - but how does it work?

    and yes, on the aths track i'm a shitload faster in relays.
