£15 for a jacket with that kind of fabric is very good value:

E-vent figures:
Water resistance rating 30,000mm hydrostatic head with a minimum MVTR of 21,000g/m2/24hrs
the reinforced thicker bits on my montane jacket:
Water resistance rating 30,000mm hydrostatic head with a minimum MVTR of 15,000g/m2/24hrs
the hydrostatic head is the vertical column of water it would take to permeate the fabric (i.e 30m)
