if it has to be waterproof and very breathable the gore XCR and E-vent are the most breathable waterproof fabrics on the market. i have had both and they work well. at the moment i have an endura e-vent jacket and before that i had a freestyle xcr jacket. i like the E-vent one because after washing you iron it to reactivate the fabric so water beads on the surface before wetting out so it's easy to keep it in good order. you are going to be spending £100 plus though.
