I have heard it said before, the whole 'carbon on the streets = bad' thing, but have never really found out why this would be a bad idea. My only guess would be getting the frame chipped from stones and grit being flung up by the wheels - obviously something you wouldn't have to worry about on the track ???[/quote]
I don't like the idea of carbon fibre either, it makes me nervous. I only just realised my saddle is carbon fibre (or at least it has that pattern on the underside & is light) and now I'm really scared it's going to break!
